Susan Ware Page
President
Susan is 3rd generation and joined her father, John, in the family business in 2001. She worked hands on in various departments learning from the “ground up.”
Susan is involved in the every day operation of the company and her direct reports are the Controller, Senior Vice President, Human Resource Manager, IT Manager, Vice President of Sales and her Administrative Assistant. Other responsibilities include running the senior management meetings, fuel hedging and supply contracts.
Susan has served on many local and state boards over the years. She currently is active in the Rockland Rotary Club.
In 2021, she was honored by the New England Fuel Institute for the Legend Award to pay tribute to energy leaders in New England and Susan was chosen for Maine. Although not one for recognition, she has received a lot, including Rotary Community Person of the Year, a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and is inducted into both the University of Southern Maine and Midcoast Maine Hall of Fame for basketball.
Susan graduated from Rockland District High School in 1995. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. She worked for Fortune 500 Safeco Financial in Seattle, declined a dream job offer from Exxon Mobil to return home and learn the family business from her Dad.
Charon Curtis
Sr. Vice President
Senior management with responsibility for Maritime’s branch offices, customer service, fuel and propane departments and facilities maintenance
She has worked in conjunction with the energy and petroleum business for over 40 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Out of work, Charon enjoys time with friends and family, gardening, hiking and playing outside!
Becky Stearns
Controller
Senior Management responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting functions including the credit department.
Becky says, “Life is a puzzle, and I love puzzles.”
Chris Seavey

Responsible for all Wholesale, Commercial & Residential Sales
Chris has been with Maritime Energy for over 16 years, helping our residential, commercial, and wholesale customers save a tremendous amount of money on their energy needs. He is passionate about assisting our customers, no matter the time or day, and has built a loyal following because of his dedication.
Chris is also well-versed in the propane industry, one of the fastest-growing sectors in energy, and has successfully converted many of our commercial customers from oil to propane.
Chris was born and raised in Rockland and graduated from Rockland District High School, where he was a standout basketball and baseball player for the Tigers. After college, he continued playing in men’s league basketball and baseball and has now become an avid golfer, competing throughout the state, including in the Maine State Amateur tournaments.
Chris holds a degree in Communications and has spent the last 25+ years broadcasting high school basketball on radio (106.9 FM) in the Mid-Coast area.
When he’s not playing golf, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, Sarah, and their dog, who runs the house!
Jeff Snow
HR Manager
Responsible for Human Resource matters including safety, payroll, and benefits.

Hobbies are Genealogy, reading, crocheting, spending time with my grandchildren.

Responsible for Residential, Commercial, and Wholesale Accounts Receivable Department.

Responsible for all financial matters and oversees accounting personnel.
Jesse Kurr
Transport Manager
Jesse has been a dedicated member of the Maritime Energy team for over 28 years, originally starting as a hazmat fuel CDL truck driver and dispatcher. As the Fuel Transport Manager, he oversees a crew of eight, ensuring the safety and smooth operation of fuel pick-ups from loading sites across Maine. Safety is Jesse’s number one priority, ensuring that every task is performed with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Jesse’s role involves coordinating daily deliveries along the eastern coastline and coastal interior, delivering fuel to wholesale customers, our inventory storage racks, and all Maritime Farms convenience stores in the local area. His extensive experience as a dispatcher has honed his skills in route planning and problem-solving, making him an integral part of the team.
Jesse also monitors storage tank product levels and quality indicators, keeping a keen eye on any alerts and addressing issues before they become problems.
Known for his ever-present smile and helpful nature, Jesse is a valued colleague who brings kindness and positivity to every interaction. Around the office, you can often hear laughter caused by Jesse.
At other times, Jesse’s versatility shines as he assists with various projects, including carpentry, for Maritime Energy.
Ordering and delivering fuels in today’s modern economy is a challenging task, but Jesse handles it with composure and efficiency. With an ear to the markets and eyes on the road, he takes pride in working closely with his drivers, tackling challenges together, and ensuring that every delivery is executed flawlessly and efficiently –ultimately saving costs for our customers. Jesse’s dedication and hard work embodies the spirit of Maritime Energy.
Melissa LaFountain
Customer Service Manager
Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and decorating cakes. Melissa has a Bachelor of Science degree from Thomas college.

Fuel Manager
Responsible for the safe delivery of fuel to residential & commercial customers in Knox, Lincoln, and parts of Waldo Counties.
Jenni has worked at Maritime for over 20 years and enjoys spending time with her family—her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Lee Brown
Propane Manager
Responsible for the safe delivery of propane to residential & commercial customers in Knox, Lincoln, and parts of Waldo Counties.
Lee delivered propane and heating fuel for 7 years, along with LP tank preparations. He enjoys spending time with his son & daughter , fishing, and going to camp.

Responsible for all information technology matters.
Moxie
Public Relations Manager
Moxie, our beloved office dog, is not just a furry friend but a vital part of our company. As part owner and PR Manager of Maritime Energy, Moxie takes her responsibilities seriously, ensuring that the office environment is always filled with joy and pawsitivity.
Moxie’s responsibilities include:
Building Patrol: Moxie roams the halls with a keen eye, making sure everything is in order. Her presence is a comforting sight for all employees, and she welcomes our visitors with grace.
Playful Interludes: Known for her playful nature, Moxie often initiates spontaneous play sessions, bringing a burst of energy and laughter to the office. Her zoomies are legendary and a source of delight for everyone.
Sunlit Naps: After a busy morning of patrolling and playing, Moxie enjoys napping in the sun. These moments of relaxation are essential for her to recharge and maintain her cheerful demeanor.
Employee Well-being: Moxie has an innate ability to sense when someone needs a little extra love. She offers her companionship and a wagging tail to anyone who might be having a tough day. She will also take notice of absences and pays extra attention to those who offer delectable treats upon her attendance checks.

Has been with the Lincoln County branch office since it opened in 2015
Michelle has been active and working in her community all her life. She enjoys spending time with her grown children, cooking, exploring places, and collecting sea shells and other treasures found along the sea shore.
Donna Makowski
Branch Manager – Kennebec & Waldo Counties
Donna comes to Maritime with 10 years experience in the oil and propane delivery business. She has 8 years of Supervisory experience and over 45 years of customer service skills.
Donna resides in South China with her significant other and their fox terrier, Rocky. In her spare time, Donna loves to travel to anywhere warm and tropical, either by air or on a cruise ship!

Steve has been in the HVAC industry
for over 25 years.
In his spare time, he enjoys going to concerts, traveling, and spending time with his family. Steve enjoys his management role in the office but says it’s great to get out in the field with the techs to see what they’re working on and offer guidance where he can.
Steve enjoys working with great, professional people here at Maritime who push him to take on new and challenging opportunities.

Aaron has been with Maritime for over 9 years in a technician role, he brings LP service experience to his sales position. He has his tank setter, interior/exterior piping, Appliance Connection and Service, Plant Operators, and CDL licenses.
He enjoys playing football & basketball, watching sports, and spending time with his french bulldog, Beau.

Carlton has been in the energy sales business for 20 years. He enjoys helping people meet their energy needs. Carlton is active in his community serving in local Rotary Clubs and the Chamber of Commerce. Carlton enjoys spending time with his family and sailing his Cape Dory, Reliance.
Chuck Towns
Energy Advisor – Kennebec County

Born and raised in Augusta, Maine. Chuck came up through the Augusta school system and graduated from Cony High School. Chuck holds a Master’s license in oil, propane, and A/C. He has been in the HVAC trades for nearly 30 years.
Chuck was also the owner of All Towns Chimney Service before devoting his energy full-time to the heating industry.
Chuck is also a very accomplished outdoorsman with a strong love for hunting. He enjoys four-wheeling, snowmobiling, traveling to play in pool tournaments, and golfing, but his true love, other than his son Gabe, is fishing.
Chuck has qualified multiple times for the Maine State Team for B.A.S.S., traveling all over the eastern United States and once qualifying for the 2008 Nationals in Louisiana. That part of his life has slowed, and now you can find him doing all those things he loves with his son.
Chuck has always enjoyed working with people and looks forward to bonding and making new relationships with our customers, new and old alike.
Mike Greve
Energy Advisor – Waldo County
Mike was born in California and grew up in Augusta, ME. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Mike played soccer and baseball competitively. While attending St. Joseph’s College, he played on the men’s baseball team for four years while studying Physical Education. Mike continues to volunteer as a coach at the college periodically.
Mike has enjoyed a long career in sales, including roles in beverage sales for Anheuser Busch, water treatment and radon mitigation systems, and energy sales for the past 12 years. For him, the most rewarding part of the job is traveling through some of the most beautiful areas of the state and helping people from all walks of life make their homes comfortable.
Passionate about animals, Mike has worked with local shelters. An avid golfer, Mike also enjoys umpiring little league baseball in the summer.
